CHESTERTOWN, Md.
– The Washington College baseball squad held just their second home contest of the season on Thursday at Athey Park. They played host to #4 Salisbury in what was the programs second meeting this season. Game one went to the Seagulls and with a huge sixth inning today, game two would also go to Salisbury. The Seagulls were already ahead but put the game well out of reach with 13 runs in the sixth on their way to a 35-6 win.Â

How it happened:
-Salisbury came out with five runs in the top of the first inning to take an early lead.Â
-Down 11-2 in the fifth, the Shoremen snatched three back off a homer from
Chase Ruppel that brough in Elias Phliposian and
Logan Yi.
-After the scoring from the Shoremen, Salisbury responded with 13 runs in the sixth inning to put the game out of reach. The Seagulls continued to add on in a 35-6 win.

Batting:
Logan Yi finished 3-for-3 with three runs scored and an RBI.Â

Chase Ruppel knocked in three with a three-run homer.
RJ Fiore,
Erik Risnychok,
Elias Philiposian and
Nick Miller each added a hit. Philiposian also drove in one.Â
Pitching: Thomas Peacock took the loss for the Shoremen, surrendering two earned runs in 2.0 innings.Â
For Salisbury
Batting: Scott Cameron finished 4-for-6 with five RBIs and four runs scored.Â
Pitching: Benji Thalheimer got the start and went 4.1 innings surrendering four earned runs.Â
