CHESTER, Pa. – The Washington College men's lacrosse team spent Saturday at Widener looking to build off of the home win over Elizabethtown. Widener started strong, jumping out to a three-goal lead in the opening three minutes. The Shoremen got things going through 
Ewan Temple as the senior racked up six goals during a 14-3 run that put the Shoremen up 14-9 at the half. Temple's career day in the first half was picked up by the rest of the team in the fourth as four different Shoremen found goal to stay out in front for a 22-16 win.

How It Happened
- Widener jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the opening three minutes. The Shoremen then reeled of four straight over the next three minutes. Temple scored three to give him a first quarter hat trick. Widener answered to take a 6-5 lead after one.  
 
-Temple's hot play continued in the second period. The senior racked three goals and two assists in the second period to push the Shoremen out front 14-9 at the half.  
 
-Widener took the third period 6-3 to cut the lead to 17-14. 
Luke Brennan scored a big goal right before the end of the period to push the lead to three heading into the final quarter. Brennan then opened the fourth with another finish to put the Shoremen up 18-14. 
 
-After a Widener finish to bring the lead back to three, four different Shoremen scored on a four-goal run in a ten-minute span to put the game out of reach and head out with a 22-16 win.

Gabe Velasquez went 20-for-27 in face-offs and picked up a game-high nine ground balls. 
- Washington was 17-for-18 in clears in the contest and was 2-for-6 on the man-up. The Shoremen also picked up 39 ground balls to the Pride's 25.

- Scoring: Maits (three goals, one assist), Dicicco (three goals), Connor Heisman (three goals), Wesley Sporer (two goals, three assists), Samuel Haverstrom (two goals), Jimmy Kneep (one goal, two assists), Nicholas Kneep (one goal, one assist), Matt Buckley (one goal, one assist), Angus Ballentine and Jack Witchtendahl with an assist. 
- In Goal:  Sam Heister (14 goals allowed and four saves) and Keegan Billie (eight goals allowed and three saves. 
- Widener was 15-for-16 on clears and 3-for-8 with the man-up advantage.

Ewan Temple notched career highs in goals (seven) and points (11) and tied a career best in assists (four).
