SALISBURY, Md. - The Washington College baseball team traveled down the shore to Salisbury for a midweek contest against the second-ranked Seagulls. After taking an early lead in the second, the Shoremen were unable to keep the Seagulls offense off the board. Salisbury responded to trailing 1-0 with four of their own as they never trailed the rest of the way in a 19-3 win. Â

How it Happened Â

Matt Corda got the start on the mound for the Shoremen. After working a scoreless first inning, the freshman ran into trouble in the second. The Seagulls picked up three hits and a walk off of Corda to take a 4-1 lead.Â
-The Shoremen tacked on a run in the fourth on the basepaths. With runners on first and third, the Shoremen sent
Elias Philiposian to steal second, forcing an errant throw by the Seagull catcher. That allowed
Kenyon Mickie to score easily.Â
-Salisbury continued to add on for the rest of the game to build a big lead on their way to the win.Â
