CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting #2 Salisbury scored the game's opening three goal and never trailed on its way to retaining the Charles B. Clark Cup, 23-9, over host Washington College on Saturday afternoon in the annual "War on the Shore" on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium in non-conference men's lacrosse action. The Sea Gulls are now 12-1 on the season, while the Shoremen drop to 8-6.Â

How It Happened
- The Sea Gulls scored the first three goals to take a 3-0 lead with 11:14 left in the first quarter on a
Riley Strub score from Jude Brown.

Mac Hale would get the Shoremen on the board 38 seconds after the Strub goal to cut the lead to 3-1. However, Salisbury scored the next three times to lead 6-1 after one quarter as
Josh Sanchez scored from Strub with 1:28 left to finish the scoring in the first.
- In the second, the Shoremen scored two of the first three to trim the lead to 7-3 with 12:40 left on a
Cory Morgan tally.
- Salisbury would answer with the last four of the second to take an 11-3 lead at halftime as
Cross Ferrara scored the first two and
Issac Thrasher netted the last two with the last score coming with 3:59 left on a pass from Ferrara.
- Salisbury outscored Washington 7-3 in the third and 5-3 in the fourth to provide the final margin.
