LANCASTER, Pa. - Washington College baseball went up to Lancaster, Pa. to take on the Franklin & Marshall Diplomats at Clipper Magazine Stadium. It was a slugfest that saw both teams reach double-digit runs by the sixth inning. Washington came from ten runs down to lead 15-11 but the Dips responded with the games next 13 runs to win 24-16 and sweep the
season series. Â

How it happened:
-F&M jumped out to a 10-0 lead with five runs in the first and second innings respectively. The Shoremen got back into the contest with a six run third inning in which
Logan Yi and
Cole McGee both homered.
Reese Hirsh drove in another in the fourth to make it 10-7.Â
-Down 11-7 in the sixth, Washington plated eight runs in the fifth with Yi and McGee both homering again to take a 15-11 lead. F&M plated one in the home half of the fifth inning to make it 15-12.Â
-The Dips came back with a seven-run sixth inning that was capped off by a Jakob Hoffman grand-slam. In the seventh, F&M plated five more to take a 24-15 lead. The Dips bullpen then held the Shoremen to one run from there to take the win.Â

Cole McGee each finished with three hits and two homers. Yi finished with five RBIs and McGee with two.Â

Aidan Sturtevant and
Elias Philiposian each added two hits.
Noah Iseman,

Scooter SanFilippo each added a hit. Iseman drove in three runs,
Luke Herz Sturtevant and Hirsh each drove in two.Â

John Grill took the loss. Grill finished the first inning as nine Shoremen pitchers that took the mound during the game.   Â
For Franklin & Marshall
Batting:Â
- Jakob Hoffman finished with five RBIs, for of which came from a grand-slam homer. Drew Butera and Andrew Filippelli each drove in five runs as well.Â
Pitching:
- Thomas McLaughlin took the win, coming into the game with the Dips trailing in the sixth. His final line was no runs from two hits and a walk in 3.0 innings. Â
