Bears Spoil Shoremen’s Senior Day and Home Finale, 16-12

Brennan and Domenech Score Three Times Each

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Ursinus used a 7-1 run to end the first quarter to lead 8-3 after one and would never relinquish the lead in a 16-12 win over host Washington College on Saturday afternoon in the home finale and Senior Day on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium in Centennial Conference men's lacrosse action.  The Bears are now 7-7 on the season, while the Shoremen drop to 8-8 as both teams are 2-5 in the Centennial.

How It Happened
- Kain Domenech would give Washington a 2-1 lead just 1:42 into the game and it was his second score in exactly 60 seconds.
- Tied 2-2, Chase Rondeau would give Ursinus the lead for good with Drake Kasoff tallying the assist at 3-2 with 11:55 left in the quarter.
- Tyler Falco would cap the 7-1 run with four ticks left in the first quarter to give the Bears a five-goal lead after one with Christopher Pucciarelli netting the helper.
- Washington scored three of the first four goals of the second quarter to trim the deficit to 9-6 with 6:30 left on a Brady McFalls tally.
- Ursinus would answer with the final two goals of the second to take an 11-6 lead into the halftime break with Lars Homan scoring a man-up goal from Falco with 52 seconds remaining.
- In the third, the Shoremen outscored the Bears, 5-3, to cut the lead to 14-11 after three as Luke Brennan scored from Ewan Temple with 1:35 to go.
- Temple would trim the Ursinus lead to just two, 14-12, with 9:53 left on an unassisted score, but the hosts could draw no closer as the Bears scored the last two of the game to provide the final margin.  Homan scored his second man-up goal of the day from Falco with 7:59 left for the last goal of the game.

For The Shoremen (8-8, 2-5 CC)
- Scoring: Brennan (three goals and one assist), Domenech (three goals), Temple (two goals and one helper), Connor Garrison (two goals)
- In Goal: Cole Corrigan (37:24, 13 goals allowed, 11 saves), Robert Eiganrauch (22:36, three goals allowed, five saves)
- Gabe Velasquez (five ground balls) and Tyler Bishop (two caused turnovers).
- Washington was 21-for-23 in clears in the contest and was 2-for-4 on the man-up.
- The Shoremen had 14 turnovers, while causing eight Salisbury turnovers.

For Ursinus (7-7, 2-5 CC)
- Scoring: Falco (four goals and two assists), Tyler Neal (three goals and two helpers), Pucciarelli (two goals and two assists), Erik Ojert (goal and three assists), Homan (two goals), Harry Sweitzer (two assists)    
- In Goal: Quinn Watson (60:00, 12 goals allowed, 12 saves)   
- Dominic Nottoli (17-for-25 in face-offs and eight ground balls) as the guests won 21-of-31 face-offs in the game, Jake Ojert (eight ground balls) and Nicholas Grahame (two caused turnovers).
- The Bears were 19-for-21 in clears, 2-for-5 in man-up situations and turned it over 17 times, while notching six caused turnovers.
- Salisbury held a 54-42 advantage in shots and 32-30 in ground balls.

Notes
- Domenech was named the Goose Nation TV Shoreman Player of the Game. 
- The team honored Brennan, Corrigan, Domenech, Eiganrauch, McFalls, Temple, Logan Clefisch, Chase Orr, Erik Parry, Kyle Stansbury, Jackson Torppey, TC White and Jack Winters prior to the game.
