Sophomore women's lacrosse player
Tobin Chambers (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) shares this week's Shorewoman of the Week award with the coxswain and eight rowers of the women's rowing team's second varsity 8+. Chambers scored the game-winning goal in the Shorewomen's 7-6 win at Swarthmore on Wednesday to clinch their 11th straight trip to the Centennial Conference Tournament.
Chambers scored the winning goal with 4:16 to go in the fourth quarter on a pass from
Morgan Sutherland to snap a 6-6 tie and give WC its ticket to the conference tournament and 11th straight win over Swarthmore. Chambers scored the first goal of the game for the Shorewomen, who hold the school record for most consecutive appearances in a Centennial Conference Tournament for a squad that must qualify. On Saturday in the team's 18-7 victory over visiting McDaniel that secured the four seed and a first round home game, the sophomore had a goal and helper.
This is Chambers' first career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
