Ellie Morrall - Shorewoman of the Week

Senior women's lacrosse player Ellie Morrall (Contoocook, N.H./Hopkinton) is this week's Shorewoman of the Week. Morrall set career-highs in goals and points and tied her personal-best in assists and draw controls in the the Shorewomen's 18-10 win over visiting Ursinus in the first round of the Centennial Conference Tournament.

Morrall. who had seven goals and three assists for 10 points, factored in eight of the team's 13 goals during the team's 13-2 run that saw Washington turn an 8-5 deficit with 5:40 remaining in the second quarter into an 18-10 lead with 5:14 to go in the fourth quarter. She started the run with 2:18 to go in the second on a goal to trim the lead to 8-6 and would give the Shorewomen their first lead of the game on an up-goal with 9:45 left in the third quarter. The senior scored what proved to be the game-winning goal with 29 seconds left in the third to give WC a 12-10 advantage heading into the fourth stanza. Her 10 points were one off the school record for points in a single-game by a WC player. Morrall also won seven draw controls to lead all players and tie her personal-high. On Friday at #8 Gettysburg in the semifinal round, she tallied four draws to become the second person in team history to reach triple digits in draws in a season as she finished with 100, while scoring a goal and handing out a helper.

This is Morrall's second career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
