Men's Soccer Draws at Dickinson

Shoremen fall behind, take lead and then settle for tie.

 
CARLISLE, Pa. – Washington College men's soccer opened up the Centennial Conference schedule with a trip to Dickinson on Saturday night. The Shoremen fell behind to a goal inside the first seven minutes but found themselves up two goals to one in the second half after Ben Strine and Shepherd Koffie found the back of the net. Dickinson would get the last response though as they scored in the 70th minute to make it a 2-2 game. Neither team could find the net again as they settled for a 2-2 draw.

How It Happened
- Dickinson went out to a 1-0 lead through a Saul Iwowo penalty kick goal. Ben Strine then found the net just over ten minutes later to even up the first half score.  
 
- Washington opened up the second half with a goal by Shepherd Koffie after just ten minutes. The Shoremen's lead only lasted about fifteen minutes when Finn Weber found the net for the Red Devils. Washington came closed to re-taking the lead when Kamau Tshazi hit the crossbar with just ten minutes remaining. 
 
-Neither team could find the winning moment as Shoremen keeper Anthony Pinto produced two saves in the final five minutes.

- Scoring: Ben Strine & Shepherd Koffie
- Goalkeeper: Anthony Pinto (3 saves, 2 goals allowed, 90:00)
- Washington had seven shots with three on target and took three corner kicks in the contest. Emmanuel Kouadio was yellow carded. 

For Dickinson (3-1-1) (0-0-1)
- Scoring: Saul Iwowo (PK), Finn Weber (assistated by Iwowo) 
- Goalkeeper: Alexander Henrich (0 saves, 2 goal allowed, 90:00)
- The Devils took ten shots in the contest with five on target and had six corners.
