Field Hockey Drops Conference Opener at F&M 2-1

Schurman saves seven in defeat.

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Shorewomen Field Hockey team traveled to Franklin and Marshall to open up conference play for the season. The Shorewomen found themselves on the back foot early as F&M took the lead just 4:34 into the match on a Jessica Miller goal. Washington found a tying goal early in the second half through Brynn Balliet but the Diplomats responded just a minute late with Miller's second. The halftime score would be the final as Washington fell 2-1.
