LANCASTER, Pa. – Washington College volleyball traveled to Franklin & Marshall to open up Centennial Conference play against the Diplomats. F&M started the match strong, cruising to an opening set win. Washington improved play in set two but were unable to get back into the match as the Dips took the win in straight sets.Â

-F&M set the tone by taking eight of the first nine points of the match. That pace continued for much of the opening set as the Dips won it 25-11. The Shorewomen picked up play in set two as the teams traded the opening twenty points for a 10-10 tie. F&M then used an 8-0 run to take control of the set, winning it 25-20.Â

-The Dips stayed hot into set three, taking a 10-4 lead. The Shorewomen were never able to get the set lead under five as F&M took the third set and the match. Â
