CARLISLE, Pa. – Host Dickinson got a team-best 20 points and game-high 17 rebounds from
Nate Ogbu for a double-double and scored the last seven points of the first half to take the lead for good in a 57-52 win over visiting Washington College on Saturday afternoon at the Kline Center in Centennial Conference men's basketball action. The Red Devils improved to 6-9 overall and 3-5 in the Centennial, while the Shoremen are 3-12 and 1-7 respectively.

How It Happened

Kedrick Frink gave the Shoremen a 17-14 lead with seven minutes to go in the first half on a driving layup.Â
- Tied at 24-24 with 1:26 remaining in the opening half following a Frink lay-in, the Red Devils scored the final seven points to take a 31-24 halftime lead. Ogbu netted a hook shot to make it 26-24 with 1:06 to go before
Anthony Goeb scored on a second chance basket with 14 ticks left to push the lead to 28-24. The Goeb bucket was the first time either side led by more than one possession in the game.
- After a Washington turnover, Goeb canned a three-pointer to beat the buzzer to give Dickinson a seven-point lead at halftime.
- Dickinson led 40-33 before Washington scored six unanswered points to cut the lead to 40-39 with 11:02 in the second half left on back-to-back conventional three-point plays by
Jason Zielinski and Frink.
- The Shoremen would cut it the deficit to one for a second time in the final stanza, 46-45, on a
Zack Skrocki layup with 6:06 to go.
- That's as close as Washington would get as
Cole Crosby scored on a traditional three-point play 22 seconds later to give Dickinson a 49-45 lead. The closest the Shoremen would get the rest of the way was three with 3:12 remaining on a
Paul Rodolf jumper at 52-49.
For The Shoremen (3-12, 1-7 CC)
- Frink (game-best 22 points and team-best eight rebounds), Skrocki (10 points and three steals), Rodolf (three steals)
- The Shoremen shot 42% (20-for-48) from the floor, 29% (4-for-14) from three-point range and 62% (8-for-13) from the foul line.Â
- Washington had 14 turnovers.

- Ogbu (squad-best 20 points and two steals and game-highs of 17 boards and four assists),

- The Red Devils shot 35% (20-for-57) from the floor, 19% (4-for-21) from three-point range and 62% (13-for-21) from the free throw stripe.  Â
- Dickinson outscored WC in points in the paint (28-20), transition points (7-1), second chance points (14-5), points off turnovers (7-6) and bench points (11-9).
- The Red Devils had 15 turnovers in the contest and held a 46-29 edge in rebounds.
