Blue Jays Down Shoremen, 88-47

Box Score BALTIMORE, Md. – Host Johns Hopkins never trailed on its way to a 88-47 win over visiting Washington College on Wednesday night at Goldfarb Gym in Centennial Conference men's basketball action.  The Blue Jays improved to 11-4 overall and 8-1 in the Centennial, while the Shoremen are 3-13 and 1-8 respectively.

How It Happened
- The Blue Jays canned four three-pointers in the first 3:03 of the game to take a 12-4 lead on a triple from Brian Johansson. 
- After the Shoremen's Ethan Schwantes cut the lead to 17-11 on a jumper with 13:21 left in the first half, Johns Hopkins went on a 10-0 run to push the lead to 27-11 with 10:51 remaining on a John Windley layup.
- The hosts scored the last nine points of the stanza to take a 52-27 lead into halftime as Johansson scored a second chance lay-in with 21 ticks left to cap the opening half scoring.
- Johns Hopkins outscored Washington, 36-20, in the second half.

For The Shoremen (3-13, 1-8 CC)
- Kedrick Frink (10 points and five rebounds), Paul Rodolf (five rebounds and four assists), Jason Zielinski (two steals)
- The Shoremen shot 32% (19-for-60) from the floor, 19% (4-for-21) from three-point range and 56% (5-for-9) from the foul line. 
- Washington had 15 turnovers.

For Johns Hopkins (11-4, 8-1 CC)
- Carson James (game-best 26 points), Charlie Jackson (12 points), Jeb Williams (10 points), Brayden Fagbemi (nine rebounds, seven assists and three steals), Johansson (three blocks),
- The Blue Jays shot 51% (36-for-70) from the floor, 30% (10-for-33) from three-point range and 50% (6-for-12) from the free throw stripe.    
- Johns Hopkins outscored WC in points in the paint (48-10), transition points (23-5), second chance points (14-6), points off turnovers (24-3) and bench points (35-20).
- The Blue Jays had 10 turnovers in the contest and held a 50-30 edge in rebounds.
