Bullets Down Shoremen, 67-39

Frink Nets 11 to Lead WC

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Host Gettysburg had three players score in double figures in a 67-39 win over visiting Washington College on Saturday afternoon in a Centennial Conference men's basketball game at Bream Gym.  The Bullets improve to 13-4 overall and 9-1 in the Centennial, while the Shoremen fall to 3-14 and 1-9 respectively.

How It Happened
- Gettysburg scored the game's opening eight points to lead 8-0 following a fast break layup by Jordan Stafford with 17:22 to go in the first half.
- The Bullets led 13-2 before the Shoremen rolled off six straight points to trim the lead to 13-8 on a Kedrick Frink free throw with 13:24 left in the stanza.
- Leading 29-20, Ray Zamloot capped the first half scoring on a three-pointer with six ticks to go to give the home side a 32-20 advantage at halftime.
- In the second half, Gettysburg scored the first 10 points of the half to lead 42-20 with 15:24 remaining in the game on an Akim Joseph three.  The Bullets outscored Washington 35-19 in the second half.

For The Shoremen (3-14, 1-9 CC)
- Frink (11 points and game-high three steals), Paul Rodolf (four rebounds and two steals)
- The Shoremen shot 30% (15-for-50) from the floor, 20% (3-for-15) from three-point range and 55% (6-for-11) from the foul line. 
- Washington had 14 turnovers in the contest.

For Gettysburg (13-4, 9-1 CC)
- Joseph (14 points and two steals), Jordan Stafford (13 points and six assists), Nate Williams (10 points and nine rebounds), Carl Schaller (five assists, two steals and two blocks)
- The Bullets shot 52% (29-for-56) from the floor, 22% (5-for-23) from three-point range and 57% (4-for-7) from the free throw stripe. 
- Gettysburg outscored Washington in bench points (22-8), points in the paint (34-16), second chance points (17-2), transition points (6-5) and points off turnovers (17-10).
- The Bullets had 18 turnovers in the game, while outrebounding Washington, 47-22.
