BALTIMORE, Md. – Host Johns Hopkins got a double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds from
Greta Miller and held off a late visiting Washington College charge to come away with a 47-43 win on Wednesday night at Goldfarb Gym in Centennial Conference women's basketball action. The Blue Jays are now 14-1 overall and 10-0 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen are now 7-7 and 4-5 respectively.

How It Happened
- After allowing the first two points of the game, the Blue Jays would outscore the Shorewomen 14-2 the rest of the first quarter to take a 14-4 lead after one with Miller netting two free throws with two ticks left capping the scoring.
Macie Feldman put Johns Hopkins ahead 4-2 with 6:47 to go on a jumper.
- Washington was able to get it within six points twice in the second quarter, the final time with 3:18 to go on a
Kaleigh White jumper, 18-12. Johns Hopkins however, would score the final four points of the stanza to take a 22-12 lead into halftime.
- In the third, the Shorewomen would get the game within two points, 32-30, on a three-pointer by
Abby Meredith with 1:45 to go. The Blue Jays would get the last two points of the quarter on two free throws by Feldman to take a 34-30 edge into the fourth. WC outscored the hosts 18-12 in the third.
- Johns Hopkins led 45-36 with 35 seconds left when the Shorewomen mounted a final charge.
Kiersten Rose would net a free throw with 31 ticks to go to cut the lead to 45-37. After an offensive rebound,
Karry Kelliher netted the first of her two traditional three-point plays to cut it to 45-40 with 18 ticks left. After a Feldman free throw made it 46-40 five seconds later, Kelliher would convert her second conventional three-point play in nine seconds to cut the lead to 46-43 with 9.2 seconds remaining.
- Johns Hopkins was fouled and after two
Michaela O'Neil misses from the foul line, teammate Jadyn Murray got the offensive board and was fouled. Murray missed both from the line, but Miller got the rebound to keep the ball with the Blue Jays and passed the ball to Feldman who was fouled. Feldman would sink the second free throw with 2.6 seconds left to make it a two-possession game and cap the scoring.
For The Shorewomen (7-7, 4-5 CC)
- Boggs (10 points, 12 rebounds and career-high five blocks), Kelliher (14 points and three blocks), Rose (10 rebounds),
Emma Robinson (12 rebounds, three assists and two blocks)
- WC shot 24% from the floor (15-for-63), 15% from three-point territory (2-for-13) and 69% (11-for-16) from the foul line in the game.
- The Shorewomen turned it over 11 times and tallied 49 rebounds in the contest.
- WC outscored Johns Hopkins in bench points, 6-2.
For Johns Hopkins (14-1, 10-0 CC)
- Miller (14 points, game-high 13 rebounds, two blocks and two steals), O'Neil (game-best 17 points),
- The Blue Jays shot 27% from the floor (19-for-71), 0% from three-point land (0-for-17) and 41% from the free throw stripe (9-for-22).
- Johns Hopkins had nine turnovers in the game, while outscoring Washington in points in the paint, 24-22, transition points, 6-2, and points off turnovers, 10-5. The Blue Jays registered 57 rebounds in the game.

- Boggs netted her second straight double-double after totaling 12 points and 10 boards at Dickinson on Saturday.
