CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Washington College, playing at home after a four-game road trip, defended home court in a 52-41 win over visiting McDaniel on Tuesday evening at the Cain Athletic Center in Centennial Conference women's basketball action. The Shorewomen, who were playing their first home game in 17 days, are now 8-8 overall and 5-6 in the Centennial, while the Green Terror are now 10-7 and 5-7 respectively.

Peyton Berger put Washington ahead for the rest of the game on a layup with 2:35 left in the first quarter to make it 6-4. Berger would cap the 6-0 run to end the first on a bunny with 1:45 to go to give the Shorewomen an 8-4 lead after one.
- Leading 15-12 with 5:38 to go in the second following a jumper by the Green Terror's
Raegan Lanz, the Shorewomen scored nine of the final 11 points to take a 24-14 lead into half.
Kaitlyn Boggs' free throw with two second to go gave the home team the 10-point halftime lead.
- In the third quarter, McDaniel got the game within one point, 33-32, on a fast-break jumper by
Lily Hines with 11 ticks to go before WC's
Karry Kelliher netted a layup with a second left to give the Shorewomen a 35-32 advantage heading into the fourth.
- Lanz got McDaniel with four, 39-35, with 6:52 left in the fourth before Washington scored the next points to take a 48-35 lead with 2:22 remaining in the game on a Kelliher free throw. The Green Terror got within nine points twice the rest of the way, but no closer.

- Washington shot 29% from the field (16-for-56), 17% from three-point range (1-for-6) and 61% from the foul line (19-for-31)

- The Shorewomen outscored the Green Terror in second-chance points (16-4), points in the paint (28-22), bench points (12-11) and points off turnovers (10-8).
