CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Muhlenberg got a game-high 27 points from
Ava Connolly in a 66-54 win over visiting Washington College on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Hall in Centennial Conference women's basketball action. The Mules are now 11-8 overall and 6-8 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen drop to 8-10 and 5-8 respectively.

Rachel Saxton canned a jumper to beat the buzzer to give the Mules a 15-14 lead after one quarter.

Serena Pluta put WC ahead 23-22 on a jumper with 2:13 to go in the second quarter before Muhlenberg scored eight unanswered points to take a 30-23 lead with 36 seconds remaining on a layup by
Emily Unger. The host Mules took a 31-26 lead into halftime.
- Leading 34-32 with 7:37 left in the third quarter, Muhlenberg would outscore Washington 12-4 to take a 46-36 advantage into the fourth quarter with Saxton providing the final points on a three-pointer with 13 ticks to go.
- In the fourth, the Shorewomen got it within five with 6:05 left, 52-47, on a three by
Abby Meredith, but the Mules closed out the game with 14 of the final 21 points to provide the final margin.

- Washington held a 45-38 edge in rebounds and had 12 turnovers in the contest.
- The Shorewomen held a 18-8 edge in points in the paint.

- The Mules had nine turnovers, while outscoring the Shorewomen in points off turnovers (8-4) and bench points (6-4).
Notes
- Pluta notched her second straight double-double and fourth of her career. She had 18 points and 10 boards on Thursday night versus Swarthmore.
- Boggs totaled her second straight double-double and sixth of her career. The sophomore had 10 points and 10 rebounds on two nights ago against Swarthmore.
- Both sides had 14 second chance points.
- Washington and Muhlenberg split the season series at WC won 46-41 at home on January 6.
