HAVERFORD, Pa. – Visiting Washington College overcame an early goal by host Haverford with two of its own in a span of 8:23 late in the first half to come away with a 2-1 win on Sunday afternoon at Walton Field in a conference men's soccer contest.  The Shoremen improved to 7-2-4 overall and 3-1-1 in the Centennial, while the Fords are now 1-8-4 and 0-4-1 respectively.

How It Happened
- Haverford struck at the 7:34 mark to take an early 1-0 lead. 
- Washington would score twice in a stretch of 8:23 of the first half to take a 2-1 lead.  
Jordan Waiganjo scored his first career goal from 
Francesco Bertolini at 30:05 to level the game at 1-1.
- 
Mayowa Taiwo would put the Shoremen ahead as he finished off a feed from 
Tshazi Kamau with 6:32 left before halftime to put the road side ahead by a goal.
- In the second half, the Fords had five shots, but one on target.  
Cole White made his lone save of the second half with 9:59 to go in the game.  Haverford's last chance came with 1:13 to go in the game, but it was blocked.
