How It Happened

  • The Shoremen outshot The Bullets nine to five in the first half. Yasir German started things off for The Shoremen as his shot in the third minute of play was high right of the goal.
  • Tshazi Kamau tallied his first shot of the afternoon in the twelfth minute, his shot was saved by The Bullets' goalie. Similarly, in the fourteenth minute of play, Samuel Knauf's shot to the bottom right was saved as well. The Shoremen would have three more of their shots saved by The Bullets' goalie and none would sneak past as the score was 0-0 going into the half.
  • The Shoremen scored in the 53rd minute of play off a corner kick. Kamau served a beautiful ball into the box and Ryan Sharpley was able to send the ball, off his head, past the goalie and putting the Shoremen up 1-0.
  • The game started to get intense as fouls were called for both sides in the middle of the period. The Bullets would earn three yellow cards in the half.
  • The Shoremen had another huge scoring opportunity in the 74th minute of play as a foul in the box allowed for a penalty kick. Kamau's shot missed just right of the goal and the Shoremen would not capitalize on the opportunity.
  • The closest look for The Bullets came in the 84th minute as the shot just outside of the box hit the crossbar and kicked back out to the Shoremen defense. The Shoremen would take the game 1-0.
