Kat Esposito (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) scored the only goal of the game 3:16 into the third quarter as host Washington College topped visiting Muhlenberg 1-0 on Senior Day in the regular season home finale on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium in a Centennial Conference field hockey game. The Shorewomen are now 9-7 on the season and 4-4 in the Centennial, while the Mules drop to 6-9 and 1-7 respectively.

How It Happened
- Washington took the game's first six shots and held a 6-1 advantage in shots after one quarter, but neither team could dent the scoreboard.
- The Shorewomen outshot the Mules 6-1 in the second quarter, but the game would enter halftime at 0-0.
- WC broke the scoreless tie in the third when Esposito dribbled down the right side and the shot from 12 yards out on the right side found the back of the cage on the left side to take a 1-0 lead.
- Muhlenberg had two chances in the final 4:25 of the game to net the equalizer, but Washington goalie
Charlotte Schurman stopped both shots to preserve the shutout and win.
