CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The Washington College volleyball team picked up its first Centennial Conference win of the season with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-15) win over visiting McDaniel on Wednesday night at Penny J. Fall Gymnasium. The Shorewomen are now 11-5 overall and 1-1 in the Centennial, while the Green Terror are 9-4 and 0-2 respectively.

How It Happened
- Trailing 12-10 in the first set, Washington won four straight points to take a 14-12 lead on a
Colette Franck kill and the team would lead for the remainder of the set.
Allison McKechnie clinched the first set with a service ace.
- Leading 19-16, the Shorewomen would net the next four points to take a 23-16 advantage on an attack error by the Green Terror.
Lindsay Saddic tallied a kill for the final point of the second to give the home side the first two sets.
- Washington was ahead 12-9 in the third set before winning eight unanswered points to take a 20-9 lead on a Franck finisher.
Giselle Kleinbussink sealed the deal with a kill for the final point of the contest.

Alexis Stubbs (13 assists and contest-best three aces),
Allison McKechnie (team-best 15 digs and 12 assists),

- Team hit .245 in the contest, notched seven rejections and served up seven aces.
- Saddic was named the Goose Nation TV Shorewoman Player of the Match.
- WC has now won three straight over McDaniel.
