CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Washington College used an 18-0 first half run to take control of the game on its way to its first win of the season over visiting Gallaudet 65-44 on Tuesday night in a non-conference men's basketball game. The Shoremen are now 1-2 on the season, while the Bison drops to 0-1.

How It Happened
- Washington led 10-7 with 12:45 to go in the first half before scoring the next 18 points to take a 28-7 lead with 8:34 to go in the opening stanza on a jumper in the paint by
Ethan Schwantes.Â
Nolan Waldon started the barrage with a three-pointer to make it 13-7 with 12:31 to go in the first half.
- The Bison would score eight of the final 12 points of the half to cut the lead to 32-15 at halftime.
- Gallaudet would tally six of the first eight points to start the second half and the WC lead was down to 34-21 just 90 seconds into the second.
- Washington would answer with a 27-9 run to take its biggest lead of the game of 31 points, 61-30, on a
Jack Swider three with 6:17 to go.
- The Bison finished the game with 14 of the last 18 points to provide the final margin.
