How It Happened
- The Shorewomen trailed Messiah 17-10 at the end of the first quarter. Karry Kelliher sunk a turnaround jumper in the seventh minute of the second to bring the Shorewomen within two, 19-17.
- Immediately after, Messiah went on a seven-point run until Abby Meredith made a jumpshot from Kaitlyn Boggs with 32 seconds left in the quarter to answer. The Shorewomen trailed 26-19 at the end of the half.
- Kiersten Rose began the second half making a layup off a Kelliher pass. The Shorewomen were down five. Boggs, Rose, and Kelliher made one more basket each and were the only scorers of the quarter for the Shorewomen. Defensive breakdowns and a ten second violation did not help the Shorewomen as they trailed 40-27 heading into the final ten minutes.
- With two minutes left in the game the Shorewomen trailed by 18. Kelliher made a layup after gathering an offensive rebound. Boggs put in a layup of her own 30 seconds later. Kelliher followed that up with her third steal of the night and a made layup cutting Messiah's lead to 12. That would be the last basket made for the Shoremen as they fell to Messiah 52-38.
