St. Mary's City, MD- The Washington College Women's Basketball Team shut down St. Mary's of Maryland in their final game of the 2024 year. Karry Kelliher led the Shorewomen scoring with 21 points and Emma Robinson dominated the boards with 17 rebounds.

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen hopped out to a 12-9 lead at the end of the first quarter. Karry Kelliher recorded the first score of the game for either team as she hit a jump shot off a Kaitlyn Boggs pass.
- Kelliher tallied three assists in the remaining minutes of the quarter as she assisted both Kaitlyn Boggs and Peyton Berger as they each scored layups to go up on St. Mary's.
- Kelliher nailed a three one minute into the second quarter as the Shorewomen extended their lead, 15-9.
- St. Mary's was able to capture the lead with 1:53 remaining in the second quarter as they sunk two free throws and went up 20-19.
- Berger answered with a three-pointer assisted by Boggs with 49 seconds left in the half to put the Shorewomen back on top. Boggs had an answer of her own to end the quarter as she finished on a layup with two seconds left in the half. The Shorewomen led by four.
- Boggs and Kiersten Rose started the scoring off for the Shorewomen in the second half. They each recorded offensive rebounds and then scored at the other end of the court to put the Shorewomen up three 28-25.
- The Shorewomen went on an 11-4 run with seven different athletes scoring to end the quarter as they were up 37-29.
- The Shorewomen put the game away in the last quarter as they scored 20 points in the final ten minutes of the game. Kelliher recorded 12 of the 20 points as she ended the game with 21. The Shorewomen defeated St. Mary's (Md) 57-43.
