Chestertown, MD- The Washington College Women's Basketball Team met their match against the #12 ranked Gettysburg Bullets as they were defeated 66-47. The Shorewomen were in the fight with the Bullets at the conclusion of the first quarter but could not hang on as Gettysburg pulled away with the win.

How It Happened
- The Bullets went up 10-2 on the Shorewomen early in the first quarter. Emma Robinson sunk a layup off an inbound pass from Peyton Berger with three minutes left in the quarter to put the Shorewomen within two of Gettysburg 13-11.
- One minute later, Berger made a layup to lessen the Shorewomen deficit to one, 14-13. Kaitlyn Boggs secured a defensive rebound immediately after on the opposite side of the court and followed it up with a post move made bucket to put the Shorewomen up one 15-14.
- The Bullets ended the quarter up three on the Shorewomen after three made layups. Gettysburg put up 18 points compared to the Shorewomen's eight in the second quarter and the Shorewomen continued to trail, 38-25, heading into halftime.
- Gettysburg scored first coming out of the half and they were up 47-28 until the Shorewomen went on a defesnive run and it transferred into their offense as they went on a 10-6 run to end the quarter. Their run was led by Karry Kelliher who scored four points. The Shorewomen still trailed 53-37 heading into the final ten minutes.
- The Shorewomen only scored ten more points in the final quarter and fell to the Bullets 66-47.
