Junior Hartley Meyer (Little Rock, Ark./Little Rock Central) of trap & skeet and senior women's basketball player Serena Pluta (Townsend, Del./St. Mark's) share this week's Shorewoman of the Week. Meyer set a personal record, while Pluta averaged averaged a double-double in a 3-0 week for the Shorewomen.  

Meyer set a personal best in American Skeet on Saturday at the 2024 ACUI/SCTP Lower East Coast Conference Championships in Savannah, Georgia, hitting 94 out of 100 targets and was the team's top performer in the event.  Meyer placed 18th in the Women's High Overall out of 63 competitors. 

Pluta averaged 17 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per game as the Shorewomen punched their ticket to the Centennial Conference Tournament for the third straight season.  In a 70-66 overtime win over Dickinson on Saturday, she had a game-high 21 points and tied for tops in rebounds with 12 to go along with three steals in the four-point home win to cap the 3-0 week. It was her second double-double of the week and fifth in the past seven games. On Tuesday in a 62-28 victory at Bryn Mawr, she had 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead all players and on Thursday in a 56-43 triumph at McDaniel, she tallied 14 points and grabbed a contest-topping seven rebounds.

This is Meyer's second and Pluta's fifth career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
