- Virginia Wesleyan took advantage of two Washington College errors to score four unearned runs in the top of the sixth to take an 8-2 lead.  Megaro and Marcell Whitfield scored on a throwing error with nobody out to give the guests a four-run lead with nobody out.  Clarke would cap the run scoring with a one-out base hit up the middle to drive in Nathan Bryant and Kasperow to give the Marlins a six-run lead.
- Chase Ruppel would two back for Washington on a two-out, two-run single to left to chase home Tahir Parker and Cole McGee and reduce the Marlins' lead to 8-4.
