Seniors,
Carter Weems (Wheat Ridge, Colo./Two Roads Charter School) and
Gage Williams (Marydel, Del./Polytech) of trap & skeet share this week's Shoreman of the Week honor. The duo were the first from Washington College Trap and Skeet (WCTS) to connect on over 90% of the targets at the ACUI-SCTP Collegiate Clay Target National Championships in the history of the program, which took place last week in San Antonio, Texas.
Williams hit 547 out of 600 total targets for a clip of 91.17% and Weems made contact on 546 out of 600 total targets for a rate of 91% in helping the the squad to a ninth place finish out of 29 teams in the Division III field that competed in all six disciplines at the championships. The tandem both connected on the most targets in American Skeet with Williams going 96-for-100 and Weems netting 94-for-100.
This is the fourth career Shoreman of the Week honor for Williams and second for Weems.
