Salisbury, MD – Men's Lacrosse holds #1 Salisbury to only five in War of the Shore rematch Saturday afternoon. They fell 12-7.

How It Happened

• Salibury scored first in the tenth minute of the opening quarter. They would go on a 3-0 run until a goal by Logan Trombley put the Shoremen on the board.
• The Shoremen would score twice in the second, first a Connor Garrison goal assisted by Mac Hale and then a Cory Morgan man up goal assisted by Ben Dickinson. The Shoremen trailed at halftime 8-3.
• The third quarter was scoreless until the last minute of play when a Morgan goal assisted by Reeve Hargrave ended the drought for both teams.
• The Shoremen defense held off nine shots by the Sea Gulls in the third, the tenth was netted with eight seconds left in the quarter.
• Two Luke Brennan goals and one more by Morgan put the Shoremen within three with 5:54 left in the game. 
• Unfortunately it was not enough as the Sea Gulls swept the War of the Shore battles this season. They ended the game up five, 12-7.

For The Shoremen (3-10)
Morgan led the Shoremen with three goals and three points. 
Tyler Bishop and Tom Merritt both recorded four ground balls. 

For Salisbury (13-0)
Jack Dowd led both teams with four goals. 

Notes
The Shoremen move to 21-35 against the Sea Gulls. This match up dates back to 1974.
They are currently on a 10 game losing streak against Salisbury.
