LANCASTER, Pa. – Visiting Washington College outscored host Franklin & Marshall 4-1 in the fourth quarter, including the first four goals in the stanza, to turn a 9-7 deficit into an 11-10 victory in Centennial Conference men's lacrosse action on Wednesday night at Shadek Stadium.  The Shoremen improve to 4-10 overall and 2-4 in the Centennial, while Diplomats drop to 6-9 and 0-6 respectively.

How It Happened
- Tied 2-2 late in the first quarter, the Diplomats took a 3-2 lead with 1:56 to go on a 
James Moroney score to give the host side the lead after one.
- Washington would send the game to halftime tied at 6-6 as 
Connor Garrison scored with 1:40 remaining in the second quarter.
- F&M got the first two goals of the third to take an 8-6 advantage with 10:28 to go on a 
Jack Luviano goal.
- 
Ben Dickinson would get one back for the Shoremen with 8:36 remaining in the third to trim it to 8-7 before 
Ryan Roberts scored exactly three minutes later to give the Diplomats a 9-7 edge heading into the fourth.
- The Shoremen would score the first four goals of the fourth to turn the game in their favor.  Garrison would tie the score at 9-9 with 5:57 to go before 
Luke Brennan put the road side ahead for good with 4:40 left.  Brennan would pick up the ground ball of a saved shot and scored behind-the-back to give WC a 10-9 edge.

Cory Morgan scored what proved to be the game-winning score 54 seconds after Brennan's tally to make it 11-9 Washington.  The Shoremen scored their final three goals in a span of 2:21.

Kai Kelly got the Diplomats within a goal with 2:27 remaining, 11-10. 
- F&M's final chance to tie it came with 27 ticks in the contest by Moroney, but his shot was stopped by WC goalie 
Will Charvala and the home team could not get another shot before time expired.
For The Shoremen (4-10, 2-4 CC)
- Scoring: Garrison (three goals and assist), 
Cam Carrigan (three goals), Dickinson (two goals)
- In Goal: Charvala (60:00, 10 goals allowed, 14 saves)
- 
Gabe Velasquez (15-for-24 face-offs and game-best seven ground balls)
- Washington totaled 45 shots, won 15 of the game's 24 face-offs, was 21-for-24 in clears in the contest and 0-for-3 in man-up situations.
- The Shoremen, who had a 40-29 advantage on ground balls, committed 17 turnovers, while causing seven Franklin & Marshall miscues.
For Franklin & Marshall (6-9, 0-6 CC)
- Scoring: Moroney (three goals), Luviano (two goals and assist), Kelly (two goals)
- In Goal: 
Teddy Scarborough (60:00, 11 goals allowed, 14 saves)  
- 
Jackson Barnhill (team-high four ground balls and contest-topping three caused turnovers) and 
Adam Soper (team-best four ground balls) and  
- The Diplomats were 22-for-25 in clears, 0-for-1 in man-up situations and turned it over 15 times, while notching 10 caused turnovers.
- Franklin & Marshall registered 45 shots in the game.
Notes
- It was WC's first win in the series since a 10-7 win at F&M on March 28, 2015, and ends a seven-game skid.  The Shoremen lead the all-time series against the Diplomats, 43-11.
