How It Happened
- The Bears scored the first two goals of the game to take a 2-0 lead just 2:11 into the first quarter on a Christopher Pucciarelli goal after Riley Cesarini scored seven seconds into the game for the first score.
- Washington would tally the next four goals to take a 4-2 lead with 11:55 to go in the second on a Cory Morgan goal with 11:55 to go in the second quarter.  Two of the goals were in the first and the other two were in the second during the run.
- Chris Bryant would get one back for Ursinus with 10:19 to go in the second to cut it to 4-3 and that would be the halftime score.
- Barrett Denlinger would tie the game at 4-4 from Harry Sweitzer with 9:28 to go third.
- WC would tally four of the next five goals to take an 8-5 lead into the fourth quarter as Morgan scored with eight seconds left in the third to cap the run.  Connor Garrison started it with an unassisted goal with 7:37 remaining in the stanza to make it 5-4.
- The third quarter scoring was not done though as Nick Fareno scored from Scott Sloan to beat the buzzer to cut the Washington lead to 8-6 after three.
- Cam Carrigan opened the fourth quarter scoring with 13:05 to go from Grant Matthews and it proved to be the game-winning goal.
- Pucciarelli would assist on both of the Bears fourth quarter goals, the first coming with 9:45 left on a Sweitzer goal and exactly three minutes later on a Sloan score.
- Ursinus would get two chances in the final seven seconds to tie it, but Pucciarelli's shot hit the post with seven seconds left and Sweitzer's shot at the buzzer was turned away by WC goalie Will Charvala.
