- Washington would respond with four in the last of the first to take a 4-1 lead.  Ty Everitt scored on a single to center by Logan Yi with nobody out to tie it at 1-1.  The next hitter, Drew Kinsey plated both Will Turner and Yi on a double to center to give the Shoremen a 3-1 advantage.  Kinsey would come around to score on a one out double to right-center by Chase Ruppel for the final run of the frame.
- In the bottom of the second, Kinsey tallied his second two-run hit in as many innings, this time a single to left to drive home Nick Miller and Everitt to give the home side a 6-1 lead.
- The Diplomats would take control of the game with a 10-run top of the third to grab an 11-6 lead.  With one out, Andrew Filippelli tied the game at 6-6 on a single to center to score Drew Butera.  The next hitter, Evan Varga gave F&M the lead for the rest of the game on a base hit to center to score AJ Desaultels.  Up 8-6 with the bases loaded and two down, Michael von Zuben cleared the bases with a double down the left field line to score Patrick Cettina, Berson and Bobby Falese to cap the 10-run outburst.
- WC got one back in the last of the third when Reese Hirsh singled to right to drive in Ruppel to trim the lead to 11-7.
- Desaultels would lead off the top of the fourth with a home run down the left field line to make it 12-7 and start a four-run frame to give the road side a 15-7 lead.
