Gettysburg, PA – Shoremen swept by Gettysburg in two close games 6-5 and 13-11.

How It Happened
- The Shoremen were down 3-0 going into the top of the fourth. Logan Yi reached base on a fielding error followed by a Drew Kinsey to center field putting both in scoring position. Zach Stolze doubled to center field to send Yi home and advance Kinsey to third. The next batter up, Chase Ruppel hit a three run home run down the left field line. The Shoremen led 4-3.
- A Yi Homerun in the top of the eighth extended the Shoremen's lead to 5-3.
- Washington gave up one run in the bottom of the eighth after giving up a triple to left center. They would lose the game in the bottom of the ninth as they gave up two runs off of three hits to fall in Game One to the Bullets 6-5.

How It Happened
- The Shoremen went up 1-0 in the top of the first as Will Turner was walked in the second at bat of the game. He was hit home as Zach Stolze singled to left field to put the Shoremen on the board.
- They would score twice more in the top of the second as Pete Kokinis singled up the middle and A Dardaris doubled the next at bat. Elias Philiposian sacrifice bunts to the pitcher to get Kokinis home. The next at bat Ty Everitt grounded out to the shortstop and allowed for Alex Dardaris to score and go up 3-2 on the Bullets.
- Washington would score four more runs in the top of the third. Yi Started the innings off with a single to center field. Drew Kinsey would homer to right field one at bat later to put two more runs on the board for Washington. Chase Ruppel singled to right center soon after and advanced Zach Stolze to third who was hit by a pitch the previous at bat. Pete Kokinis recorded a sacrifice as he reached on a fielder's choice and sent Stolze home. Kokinis finally reached home as Philiposiuan singled to left to put the Shoremen up 7-2.
- The next score for either team came in the top of the fifth after Kokinis scored off a Dardais single to left field after he tripled to get on base the at bat earlier.
- Zach Stolze homered to center field to get him and Kinsey home who singled through the right side in the first at bat of the seventh inning. The Shoremen still led 10-3.
- The last run scored for the Shoremen came in the top of the eighth. Ty Everitt singled to right field and then advanced on a throwing error. Two fly outs later, the sacrifice by Yi, sent Everitt home as the last run for the Shoremen crossed the plate. They were up 11-5 going into the bottom of the fifth. They gave up eight runs off of six hits to trail the Bullets 13-11 going into the ninth. The Shoremen could not climb out of the deficit and fell to the Bullets in Game Two 13-11.
