How It Happened

  • The score was empty for both teams by the end of the first half. Reagan Longridge had the first shot of the game for either team in the third minute of play, the shot was saved by the Bryn Mawr goalkeeper. The game was fruitless until Sophie Killbride took the next shot in the tenth minute, her attempt was wide right.
  • The Shorewomen tallied two corner kicks back to back, halfway through the half. Off the second, Longridge's header shot on goal was saved again by the goalie.
  • The last shot of the half for Washington College was curtesy of Amity Harrington. Her shot off a corner kick was wide right.
  • The Bryn Mawr goalie tallied seven saves in the half in attempts to keep the Shorewomen off the board.
  • The Shorewomen recorded the first eight shots of the second half before Kayla Streett scored her first goal of the season off an assist from Maddy Gaydon who flicked it up to Streett after she received a pass through Bryn Mawr's last line of defenders from Longridge.
  • Bryn Mawr had their first shot of the half in the 80th minute of play. Two minutes after, their second shot of the half was saved by the Shorewomen goalkeeper, Olivia Allen. Their attempts to even the score were no good as time ran out and the Shorewomen took down the Owls 1-0.
