WESTMINSTER, Md. – Host McDaniel scored 4:08 into the second half and withstood a late charge from visiting Washington College to grab a 1-0 win on Saturday afternoon at the Soccer Complex in a Centennial Conference men's soccer contest. The Green Terror improves to 5-2-1 overall and 2-0-0 in the Centennial, while the Shoremen are now 3-2-4 overall and 0-1-1 in the Centennial.

How It Happened
- WC outshot McDaniel 4-2 in the opening 45 minutes as the two teams were scoreless at halftime.
- The Green Terror got the lone goal of the game 4:08 into the second half off of a rebound from about 10 yards out on the right side into the lower left corner of the goal.
- Washington nearly tied it in the 70th minute on a header by
Assou Kowo, but it hit the left post from approximately eight yards out.
- The Shoremen almost got the equalizer with 2:39 to go off the foot of
Tucker Sprano from about 25 yards out, but that also hit the left post.
- WC appeared to have tied it with 1:13 to go, but an offside negated the tying score.

Katim Njie had the final chance with 10 seconds to go, but his header went just over the crossbar. Â
