COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Host Ursinus outscored visiting Washington College 24-16 in the fourth quarter to tally a 65-59 win over visiting Washington College on Saturday afternoon at Helfferich Hall in Centennial Conference women's basketball action. The Bears are now 9-5 overall and 3-1 in the Centennial, while Shorewomen are now 6-6 overall and 1-3 respectively.

How It Happened
- Trailing 14-10 late in the first quarter, the Shorewomen scored five straight points to take a 15-14 lead with 22 seconds left in the quarter on a three-pointer by
Karry Kelliher. The two teams were tied at 15-15 after one.
- In the second quarter,
Abby Meredith would put Washington ahead for the rest of the quarter on a triple to give the visitors a 20-19 lead with 7:55 to go.
- WC scored the final five points of the second quarter with
Avery Thomas hitting a three with 23 seconds to go to give the Shorewomen a 29-23 edge at the break.
- Ursinus scored the opening seven points of the third to take a 30-29 lead on a jumper with 7:59 left
- Trailing 41-37, the Shorewomen scored the last six points in the final 72 seconds to take a 43-41 lead into the fourth with
Karry Kelliher netting all six. Her layup off of a turnover by the Bears gave the road team a two-point lead heading into the fourth.
- Ursinus opened the fourth with 12 of the first 16 points to take a 53-47 lead on a three with 6:07 to go in the game.Â
- The Bears would push their lead to 10 points at 63-53 with 31 ticks to go on two free throws.Â
- Washington would net six of the next seven points to trim the lead to 64-59 with 10 seconds left on a traditional three-point play by Kelliher.
- Ursinus would net one more free throw to complete the scoring with nine seconds left.

- WC shot 44% from the floor (25-for-56), 67% from three-point range (4-for-6) and 50% (7-for-14) from the foul line in the game.
- The Shorewomen turned it over 24 times, while taking the rebounding battle, 38-32.
- WC outscored Ursinus in points in the paint, 36-18, points off turnovers, 16-15, second chance points, 10-2, and bench points, 8-5.
- This afternoon was the second time this season a WC player has netted over 30 points as Boggs tallied 33 at PSU-Abington on November 19.
