Shorewomen Muscle The Mules, 62-45

Kelliher records double-double with 13 points and a program record, 14 assists.

Chestertown, MD- The Washington College Women's Basketball Team gave the Mules of Muhlenberg their fourth loss of the season, 62-45. Karry Kelliher recorded a double-double with 13 points and a program record, 14 assists.

How It Happened 

  • Karry Kelliher ended the first quarter with five assists as she helped the Shorewomen hop out to a lead in the first quarter, 16-14.  
  • Emma Robinson scored the first bucket of the second quarter for the Shorewomen thirty seconds in. Kaitlyn Boggs scored five points in the next two minutes as the Shorewomen went up 25-17.  
  • The Shorewomen still held the lead heading into the half, 31-23.  
  • Muhlenberg reached within five of the Shorewomen two minutes into the second half. The Shorewomen went on an 8-4 run directly after to put themselves ahead nine. The run was led by Peyton Berger who scored four points, two off free throws and two from a Kelliher assisted layup. 
  • The Shorewomen did not back down in the final quarter of the game. They outscored the Mules 21-13. They were led by Boggs who tallied eight points followed by Kelliher with six. The Shorewomen defeated the Mules 62-45

The Shorewomen will travel to Baltimore, MD to have their makeup contest against Notre Dame of Maryland. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 PM.
