LANCASTER, Pa. – Visiting Washington College scored the game's opening 10 points and never trailed in a 61-48 win over host Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday night in Centennial Conference women's basketball action at the Mayser Center. The Shorewomen are now 12-6 overall and 5-3 in the Centennial, while the Diplomats drop to 13-7 and 4-5 respectively.

How It Happened
- Washington scored the game's first 10 points to lead 10-0 with 5:06 to go in the first quarter on two
Karry Kelliher free throws. The Shorewomen would lead 18-9 after one stanza.
- Franklin & Marshall would open the second quarter on an 8-1 run to cut the lead to 19-17 with 6:49 to go on a layup.
- Leading 21-19, the Shorewomen scored the final six points of the quarter to take a 27-19 lead into halftime with
Abby Meredith sinking a jumper with 1:53 left.
- The Shorewomen outscored the Diplomats 13-12 in the third to lead 40-31 heading into the fourth with Kelliher netting a layup right before the buzzer to cap the scoring.
- In the fourth, the Diplomats cut the Shorewomen's lead to 42-38 with 7:55 remaining on a three-pointer.
- That's as close as F&M would get as Washington answered with the next seven points to take a 49-38 lead with 4:40 to go in the game on two
Kaitlyn Boggs free throws.
- The closest the home team got in the final 4:40 was seven points, 51-44, with 2:37 to go before the road team scored 10 of the final 14 points to provide the final margin.

- Meredith (career-best 18 points and three steals to tie for game-high in both), Boggs (18 points to tie for game-best), Kelliher (15 points and contest-best four assists),
Kiersten Rose (10 rebounds to lead all players)
- WC shot 38% from the floor (20-for-53), 25% from three-point range (1-for-4) and 71% (20-for-28) from the foul line in the game.
- The Shorewomen held a 40-37 advantage in rebounds, while turning it over 16 times.
- WC outscored Franklin & Marshall in points in the paint (26-18), points off turnovers (15-13) and second chance points (8-5).
