Shorewomen 2-0 Against The Owls 60-34

Boggs, Rose, and Meredith scoring in double-digits

Chestertown, MD- The Washington College Women's Basketball Team held a steady lead against the Bryn Mawr Owls in their second meeting of the season. The Shorewomen took game two, 60-34. Kiersten Rose, Kaitlyn Boggs, and Abby Meredith all finished the game with double-digit point totals.

How It Happened 

  • Washington College got out to a 6-4 lead over the Owls halfway into the first half as Kaitlyn Boggs made a layup off a Karry Kelliher assist.  
  • Avery Thomas and Boggs both made jumpers to end the quarter up two on the Owls, 10-8.  
  • Boggs scored the first two baskets of the second half to put the Shorewomen up six, 14-8.  
  • The Shorewomen went on a 13-7 run to end the first half. Kiersten Rose led the way with six points. The Shorewomen were up 27-15.  
  • The Shorewomen scored 17 points to the Owls' 11 in the third quarter. Abby Meredith was the lead scorer in the quarter for the Shorewomen with eight.  
  • Kiersten Rose opened the final ten minutes of the game scoring seven points on her own to keep the momentum going for the Shorewomen. They never surrendered their lead and ended the day ahead of the Owls 60-34.
