Center Valley, PA- The Washington College Women's Soccer team took down DeSales in a 2-1 matchup. The Shorewomen scored quickly out of the gate but were met with a fast response from their opponent. Ava Loretz scored the winning goal with less than six minutes remaining in the game to secure the win for the Shorewomen.

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen started off strong, scoring the first goal 26 seconds into the game. Kaileigh Brady put the first one away for the Shorewomen into the high left corner of the net.
- DeSales tied it up 30 seconds later, 1-1.
- With 20 minutes left in the game, the Shorewomen recorded four shots in a row. Grace Morris led the charge, but her attempt was saved by DeSales' goalie. Sophie Kilbride's shot missed high right. Lily Barnum had her attempt hit off the left post and Bridget Whiteside's shot attempt was blocked by a defender. The Shorewomen were outshooting their opponent, 15-10.
- Ava Loretz put the Shorewomen up, 2-1 with less than six minutes remaining in the game. Her shot came off a throw in from Kilbride on the left side of the field. Loretz's shot soared over the defenders in the box and just over the goalie's gloves to the back right side of the net.
- The Shorewomen held of DeSales for the remaining minutes and walked away with a win, 2-1.
