How it Happened
- Franklin and Marshall scored first in the first period to put themselves up, 1-0 at the end of the first 15 minutes.
- The first shot for the Shorewomen came 43 seconds into the second period. MaryCate Anson received a corner entry from Emma Campbell. Anson's shot came from the top of the arc and went just wide right of the goal.
- The Shorewomen had two shots back-to-back with eight minutes left in the first half. Samantha McMahon's shot was saved off a corner entry and Anson took a shot off the rebound which ended up just wide right of the goal.
- Ashley Swan scored the equalizer goal for the Shorewomen with a little more than five minutes left in the first half. Swan sat on the opposite post as Natalie Watkinson crossed the ball from the right side off a corner entry from Campbell. Swan's shot went just enough past the goal line for the referee to make the official goal call.
- The Shorewomen held the Diplomats to only three shots in the second half, and all the Shorewomen's shots of the rest of the half were blocked or saved. The score was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation and the Shorewomen headed into their second straight overtime against a ranked opponent, and fourth overall on the season.
- Franklin & Marshall scored in the second overtime to defeat the Shorewomen, 2-1.
