YORK, Pa. – Host York (Pa.) scored the only goal of the game in the 57th minute in a 1-0 win over visiting Washington College on Tuesday night at Graham Field in a non-conference men's soccer contest. The Spartans are now 6-3-4 on the season, while the Shoremen are now 3-5-4.

How It Happened
- The homestanding Spartans had a 7-3 advantage in shots and took all six corner kicks in the first half, but neither side could find the back of the net and it was 0-0 at halftime.
- York thought it had scored with 61 seconds to go before halftime, but the goal was negated due to an offside call.
- In the second half, York got the game's first goal with 33:00 left on a shot from about 15 yards out on the left side in the box off of a rebound after the initial Spartan shot from the six was saved by Washington goalie
Hannes Budde.
- The Shoremen nearly tied it with 15 seconds to go on a shot from 20 yards out by
Tshazi Kamau, but it hit the crossbar and hopped out of bounds and the Spartans ran the clock out.
