How It Happened
- The Shorewomen quickly went up 7-1 over Bryn Mawr to start set one. A kill gave the Owls their second point of the game, but the Shorewomen responded with a kill of their own by Giselle Kleinbussink. The score was 10-3 and the Shorewomen were not letting go of any momentum as they finished the set on a 16-3 run with Allison McKechnie and Kleinbussink each earning two kills in the rally.
- The second set started similar with the Shorewomen hopping out to an early 8-1 lead. Two service errors by the Shorewomen moved the score to 11-3. Bryn Mawr was able to keep the scoring closer than the end of the first set. The Shorewomen outscored the Owls 14-10 to end the set with Lyndsey Wessel and Kleinbussink each earning three kills and Gianna Folke and Bethany Haughton each recording two.
- The final set was the closest of all three. The Owls took the lead, 5-4 after multiple errors by the Shorewomen. A kill from Kleinbussink tied the score, 5-5, and a kill from McKechnie gave the lead back to the Shorewomen, 6-5. Addison Carr followed up that kill with one of her own to put the Shoreowmen ahead 7-5. The Shorewomen went on an 18-8 run to close out the third set and take the game in three.
