Chestertown, MD- The Washington College Women's Basketball team took down the Nittany Lions of Penn State Abington, 68-57. The Shorewomen were led by Taylor Shane with a career high of 22 points.

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen trailed the Nittany Lions until there was 1:33 left in the first period. Giulia Angeretti sunk a free throw to tie the score, 14-14.
- Ellie Carter-Soriano sunk a free throw with :58 seconds remaining to take the lead for the Shorewomen, 15-14.
- Kaitlyn Boggs opened up the second period scoring eight consecutive points, two free throws and three layups. The Shorewomen had a comfortable lead 36-23 when Carter-Soriano sunk a mid-range jumper to move the score to 38-23 heading into the half.
- Sarah Oleary had the first bucket of the second half for the Shorewomen. Her layup was assisted by Boggs and put the Shorewomen up, 40-25.
- Taylor Shane sunk back-to-back shots, one from behind the arc, to get things rolling for herself in the second half. She finished the scoring for the Shorewomen in the third quarter with a steal and a layup to finish the point. The Shorewomen led heading into the final 10 minutes, 56-33.
- Penn State Abington attempted a comeback but couldn't get closer than 66-44 with 3:20 left to play in the fourth. The Shorewomen held the Nittany Lions off and earned their first win of the season, 68-57.
