CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Washington College had four players score in double figures and two net double-doubles in a 72-62 win over visiting St. Mary's (Md.) on Saturday afternoon at Penny J. Fall Gym in non-conference women's basketball action. The Shorewomen are now 6-6 on the season, while the Seahawks slide to 5-4.

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen scored the first six points of the game and led by as many as 12 in the opening quarter, 19-7, with 58 seconds to go on a
Taylor Shane jumper. The home side took a 22-10 lead into the second.
- Washington took its biggest lead of the contest at 16 points on two occasions with the last one coming on two
Abby Meredith free throws with 4:58 left at 34-18. The visiting Seahawks would outscore the host Shorewomwen, 12-5, the rest of the second to cut the lead to 39-30 at halftime.
- St. Mary's scored 12 of the opening 14 points of the third quarter to take a 42-41 lead with 6:08 left on a jumper.
- The lead lasted just 19 seconds as
Emma Robinson scored on a layup to put Washington back ahead for good at 43-42.
- Leading 45-44, the Shorewomen scored five of the final seven points of the stanza to take a 50-46 cushion into the fourth.
- In the fourth, the Seahawks got it within two points on the first basket of the quarter, but the Shorewomen maintained the lead and led by as many as 11 at 67-56 on a three by

Kaitlyn Boggs (11 points and 14 boards), Meredith (18 points to tie for game-high and three steals), Shane (17 pints)
- Washington shot 41% from the field (23-for-56), 38% from three-point range (6-for-16) and 71% from the foul line (20-for-28)
- Washington had a 40-29 edge on the boards and had 20 turnovers in the contest.
- The Shorewomen outscored the Seahawks in points in the paint (26-18) and second chance points (13-4).Â
- It was the first career double-double for Robinson.
