CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting McDaniel outscored host Washington College 19-9 in the fourth quarter to turn a 34-32 deficit into a 51-43 win on Wednesday evening at Penny J. Fall Gymnasium in Centennial Conference women's basketball action. The Green Terror are now 14-6 overall and 5-4 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen, who had their seven-game winning streak snapped, are now 13-7 and 6-4 respectively.

How It Happened
- Trailing 10-4 with 4:07 to go in the first quarter, the Shorewomen scored six straight points to tie the game at 10-10 with 2:15 to go in the stanza on a
Karry Kelliher jumper. The Green Terror would score the last three points of the first to lead 13-10 after 10 minutes.
- Kelliher would give Washington its first lead of the game with 4:41 to go in the second quarter on a layup from
Abby Meredith at 21-19. The Shorewomen, who scored nine of the final 12 points of the second took a 25-22 advantage into halftime.
- In the third quarter, Meredith gave the home side its largest lead of the game at five points, 30-25, with 6:29 to go on a three-point basket. The Shorewomen took a 34-32 lead into the fourth.
- After McDaniel scored the first seven points of the fourth to take a 39-34 lead with 7:29 remaining, Washington countered with six straight to take a 40-39 lead on a
Kiersten Rose three-pointer 5:49 to go from Kelliher.
- The Green Terror scored on the next possession 18 seconds later on a layup to go ahead 41-40 and would start a game-closing 12-3 run as it held the Shorewomen to just one field goal in the final 5:49 of the game.Â

- Washington shot 35% from the field (18-for-51), 33% from three-point range (3-for-9) and 36% from the foul line (4-for-11)
- Washington had 19 turnovers in the contest and held a 39-26 advantage in rebounds
- The Shorewomen outscored the Green Terror in second-chance points (7-6), points in the paint (22-16), transition points (6-2) and points off turnovers (14-12).Â
- Meredith was named the Goose Nation TV Shorewoman Player of the Game during the broadcast.
