Haverford, PA- The Washington College Women's Basketball Team took down the Fords of Haverford Wednesday night in their final away contest of the regular season. The Shorewomen gained the lead first and never gave it up as they took down Haverford 59-41.

How It Happened
- Kaitlyn Boggs scored first for the Shorewomen 28 seconds into the game off an assist from Karry Kelliher. The Shorewomen had a 4-2 lead early in the first and a turnover by the Fords allowed Emma Robinson to score on the other end pushing the Shorewomen up four, 6-2.
- Avery Thomas scored a jumper off an assist from Robinson to give the Shorewomen a seven-point lead with less than two miniutes left in the quarter, they ended the quarter up five, 13-8.
- A six-point run got the second quarter started for the Shorewomen. Abby Meredith had two layups with a Boggs basket sandwiched in between. Peyton Berger scored a layup herself off a Kelliher assist to give the Shorewomen an 11-point lead with four minutes remaining in the half. The Shorewomen had doubled the Fords' scoring and were up 14 at the half, 26-12.
- In the fourth minute of the third quarter, Kiersten Rose stole the ball from the Fords gaining possession back for the Shorewomen as Robinson was able to capitalize, off an assist from Kelliher. The Shorewomen were up by 21 points, 38-17.
- Washington College held their largest lead of the game with 9:20 remaining in the fourth quarter. Robinson assisted a Boggs layup to put the Shorewomen up 22, 44-22.
- Haverford started to creep in on their lead halfway through the quarter as they lessened the deficit to 13 points. Maggie Lawrence put a stop to their scoring run as she captured a bucket after grabbing an offensive rebound.
- With two minutes remaining, Lawrence completed a three point play putting in a free throw after she was fouled taking a made layup. The Shorewomen ended the game up 17, 58-41.
