Chestertown, MD – The Washington College Men's Basketball Team faced the Green Terror of McDaniel Wednesday night. The game was a battle of runs, one that the Shoremen could not win as they fell, 62-57.

How It Happened
- McDaniel hopped out to an 8-0 lead on the Shoremen in the first minute and a half of game time. The first bucket for the Shoremen came from Precieux Tshibangu as he sunk a jump shot.
- The Shoremen went on an 8-0 run quickly after, Nicho Simes sunk a layup from a Nolan Waldon assist. Waldon followed the bucket up with a jumper of his own and Ethan Schwantes kept the momentum going with a dunk to put the Shoremen within two. Ty Woodland sunk the final basket of the eight-point run to tie the score 10-10 with 11:32 left in the half.
- The end of the half was back and forth, Davis Bland made the last basket for either team with 53 seconds left in the half. He sank a three pointer from Schwantes, the Shoremen were up two, 25-23.
- McDaniel came out the second half in a similar fashion to their first half, they went on an 11-0 run until Schwantes put two free throws in to end the scoring drought for the Shoremen.
- Bland, Waldon, and Simes made back-to-back-to-back layups to move the score and trail the Green Terror 36-34. McDaniel had a four-point answer and went up six on the Shoremen. McDaniel would begin to pull away and not let the Shoremen get within four points of their lead.
- The Shoremen applied pressure throughout the rest of the half, but could not combat the offensive side to the Green Terror's game. The Shoremen surrendered to the Green Terror, 62-57.
