Clermont, FL – The Washington College Softball Team split their contests in second to last day of Spring Break contests. The Shorewomen fell first to Montclair and then took down Mt. St. Mary's.

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen scored their first run of the game in the bottom of the fourth inning. Lilly Wenzel reached first on a passed ball and Jenna Harper singled to right center field to send Wenzel home. The Shorewomen trailed, 2-1.
- Montclair scored twice in the top of the fifth inning to go up 4-1 over the Shorewomen.
- In the bottom of the sixth, Gracelyn Goforth was walked, Lilly Cook pushed her to second as she laid down a sacrifice bunt. Nevaeh Unzueta doubled to left field to send Goforth home and put the Shorewomen within one, 4-3.
- Montclair scored their fifth run in the bottom of the fifth to go up two on the Shorewomen, 5-3. That would be the final run of the game as the Shorewomen fell, 5-3.

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen went up 2-0 early in the first inning. Gracelyn Goforth singled to centerfield and Lilly Cook was walked right after her. Jenna Harper singled to left field loading the bases for Lilly Wenzel. Wenzel hit the ball to the second baseman, earning two RBI as Goforth and Cook scored.
- The Shoremen scored one run in the top of the third as Nevaeh Unzueta batted in Cook who was walked to lead the inning off.
- Mia Mavoides singled to the third baseman to lead off the fourth inning. She stole second and was advanced to third as Chloe Trefz grounded out to the pitcher. Goforth sacrifice flied to left field to send Mavoides home and earning another run for the Shorewomen, 4-1.
- The Shorewomen gave up three two runs in the final inning. Unzueta made an unassisted third out to keep the lead for the Shorewomen as they walked away up, 4-3.
