SALISBURY, Md. – Host #8 Salisbury scored nine runs in its final two trips to the plate to overcome a 7-2 deficit entering the bottom of the seventh inning to record an 11-8 win over visiting Washington College on Tuesday afternoon at SU Baseball Field in a non-conference baseball game. The Sea Gulls are now 12-3 on the season, while the Shoremen are 11-5.  Â

How It Happened
- Washington scored six times in the top of the third inning, five coming with two outs.
Will Turner drove in the game's first run on a one-out single to left to score
Brady Wozniak. With two away, the Shoremen got pair of bases loaded walks by
Zach Stolze and
Reese Hirsh to extend the lead to 3-0. WC capped the inning with a two-run single to right field by
Scooter SanFilippo and a run scoring hit to center by Wozniak.
- With one out in the top of the fourth, a throwing error allowed Turner to come home for a 7-0 lead.
- Salisbury got on the board with two in the last of the fourth on a back-to-back run scoring base hits to trim the lead to 7-2.
- In the bottom of the seventh, the Sea Gulls netted four runs to trim the lead to 7-6. A bases loaded walk with one away cut it to 7-3 followed up by a sacrifice fly cut it to 7-4. With two outs, a double to left-center plated two and it was a one-run game after seven.
- Washington pushed its lead to two on a two-out infield single to shortstop by Turner that scored San Flilippo to make it 8-6.
- Salisbury would take its first lead of the game at 9-8 on a one-out bases clearing double to right-center. The Sea Gulls tacked on two more runs on a triple right-center and a sacrifice fly to center.
- Washington was retired in order in the top of the ninth to end the game.

- Washington had seven hits, worked out nine walks and had two get on by hit by pitch, while leaving eight on base.Â
- The Shoremen had two errors in the game, leading to zero unearned runs by the Sea Gulls.
